Near the end of the school year, as a end of the year party and send-off, the gals from a dorm floor gathered for a shoot on the beach. They were all told to come in jeans and white tops, which worked well as a uniform of sorts.
The lighting changed constantly as the sun set, which led to continual updating of the light settings. In addition, there was the challenge of shooting that many people lighting them with only strobes – far away from electricity.
Most of the girls only stayed long enough for the group shot, but a few were happy to stay around for smaller group photos.
The gals were a lot of fun to shoot, and the beach at sunset was an awesome setting. For those paying attention, yes, that is the same gymnast I’d previously shot.
